Project Description

Honors Project Contract Supplement 1) I am working at The Listening House in St. Paul. This organization provides a place to sit and talk for the homeless and the lonely. They also provide some physical needs such as shampoo, soap, some medication, washing machines, clothes, internet, and mail services. My role is to talk with the people as they come in and give them any service the organization provides. 2) -Get to know the homeless situation. -Explore what ways I could help and serve them best. -Apply this experience to working with other areas of need in this world. 3) -Socialize and comfort the people who walk through the doors. -Distribute the items the organization has to give the people. 4) Through talking with the people I want to connect more with the real world situation that the homeless face. Using the connections and ideas I gain I hope to then find some way to better serve the homeless and other marginalized people around the world. 5) I agree to complete all Honors Project chapters and activities as described.
