This past week at PLUS Time was the first time I spent both Monday and Tuesday there. Tuesdays are much more relaxed days at PLUS Time. The kids do homework first and then play games or they have reading buddies who come in at 5. Those that don't have reading buddies stay and either finish working on homework or play games. I learned this where I will do some sort of dance lesson with the kids.
Since Tuesday I have been thinking about what I could do for a dance lessons. The kids are all different ages and the boys and girls don't like to do things together. So i was thinking I could do seperate lessons for the guys and girls. The girls would enjoy dancing more. Although there is this move that the biys do called the "Jerk", I think. I have to look into that a little more. So I still have to figure out what I am going to do with the boys for a dance lessons. The girls will be easy to teach. They can dance to "Party in the USA" or "Hoedown Throwdown". The boys could do the "Cupid Shuffle" or there is dance called the "3,6,9". So I will be workign today on coming up with some lessons for them. They could also do the electric or cha cha slide.
On Monday I will be working with the kids like normal and Tuesday I will start teaching. Each week I am there I love it more and more. Sure the kids get a little rowdy and out of control, but it's the little moments where one of them wants your attention specifically that makes me enjoy being there and seeing them grow.
